and we're the Punny Bunch!

From our name, you might be thinking that this blog is about humorous play on words. Not exactly although sometimes it may be humorous. Our Mama got the idea for the Punny Bunch because well, we're two rabbits and a pug. When you put the words "pug" and "bunny" together you get punny. Other combinations including bug and bung just did not sound as nice.

We live happily in North Georgia with our hooman family. We have a Mama, Daddy, and three crazy hooman siblings, two brothers and a sister. Bunnicula is the oldest of the furbabies. He has been living with our hoomans the longest since coming here when he was just 4 months old in September 2009. Scarlett is next oldest, but is our newest family member. She was adopted in February 2013 when she was 2.5 years old. Cleo is the second youngest and joined the family in February 2012 as a 1.5 year old. Our youngest and newest member is Ella, who was adopted April 2013 when she was 2.5 years old. We also have foster brothers and sisters from time to time. Dr. Dooley, a senior black pug, has been our longest foster. He's such a big part of our family that he even made it on the header.

You may think that bunnies and dogs cannot live harmoniously together. We are proof that they can. Scarlett was not even the first dog that has been in Bunnicula and Cleo's life. There used to be another fur sister named, Charm. She was a really sweet miniature schnauzer who let Bunnicula and Cleo hop to their hearts' content around the house while she watched quietly nearby. She died in May 2012, and she is missed. It took Dr. Dooley about four days to settle into peacefully sharing the living room with the bunnies. Our Mama will not leave us together unsupervised, but it is nice for Bunnicula and Cleo to be able to wander undisturbed around the house while Mama is there.
